Bay View, the second Google campus in Mountain View designed by Heatherwick Studio + Bjarke Ingels Group has been the subject of a Fast Company article today.
The article examines the cutting edge ground-source heating systems that are due to be the largest in North America. The geothermal heat pumps will allow the three new office buildings to heat and cool themselves without fossil fuels. Without the heat pumps, the buildings would have been heated with natural gas; the heat pumps eliminate the use of gas completely.
